Concepts

Three concepts underpin everything:

  • Organization — the chain itself, e.g. "Bella Cucina Group"
  • Headquarters tenant — the "main" location. The HQ owner gets group-wide access.
  • Branches — every other location. Each branch is a normal restaurant tenant under the umbrella organization.

A single user with the group-manager role can access every branch in the organization without being staffed on each one. See Group staff & RBAC.

What you get

  • Group HQ dashboard (/dashboard/group) — KPIs aggregated across every branch, alert centre, branch ranking, 30-day trend, live order feed.
  • Centralised menu engine — push menu / categories / prices / availability from any branch to any other. Full propagation history.
  • Brand-wide promotions — create a discount at the org level; applies to every branch automatically, with per-branch opt-out.
  • Group-scoped staff — invite group-managers + owners that work across the entire chain.
  • Chain landing page — public-facing /chains/[slug] with branch list, geolocation sort, brand colours + logo. See Chain page (coming soon).
  • White-label storefront — apply brand colours + favicon + email branding across every branch. See White-label.

Activating multi-location

Open Billing → Add-ons → Multi-Location and start the 14-day trial. Once active, Operations → Branches unlocks. The first time you add a branch, an Organization is auto-created and the current restaurant becomes the HQ.

Frequently asked

  • Multi-Restaurant Accounts = one user owns several independent restaurants (no relationship between them). Multi-Location = those restaurants are branches of the same chain (shared menu, branding, promotions, group reporting).
