Why Use a Custom Domain?
Your default Restora 360 URL is yourrestaurant.restora360.com. A custom domain (e.g. www.pizzaluigi.com) looks more professional, is easier for customers to remember, and improves your Google ranking for searches that include your restaurant name.
Connecting Your Domain
- 1Purchase a domain from any domain registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains, etc.) if you don't have one already.
- 2Log into your Restora 360 dashboard and go to Settings.
- 3Scroll to the "Domain" section and enter your domain name (e.g. www.yourrestaurant.com).
- 4Restora 360 will show you the DNS records you need to add.
- 5Log into your domain registrar's control panel.
- 6Go to DNS Management and add a CNAME record pointing your www subdomain to the Restora 360 servers (shown on the Settings page).
- 7Save the DNS record. Changes propagate in 1–48 hours depending on your registrar.
- 8Once propagated, your site is live at your custom domain with automatic HTTPS.
Use "www" for Reliability
Point www.yourrestaurant.com to Restora 360 rather than the root domain (yourrestaurant.com). CNAME records on root domains cause technical issues with some registrars. Set a redirect from the root domain to www in your registrar.
DNS Propagation Takes Time
DNS changes can take anywhere from 15 minutes to 48 hours to take effect globally. During this time, some visitors may see the old site and some the new. This is normal and temporary.
SSL Certificate (HTTPS)
- •Restora 360 provides a free SSL certificate for all custom domains.
- •HTTPS is enabled automatically once your domain connects successfully.
- •No manual certificate installation required.
- •Certificates renew automatically — you never need to manage them.
