A fixed payment point for the counter. Clock in. Tap. Done.
A locked-down payment terminal that runs on an Android device by your register. Staff clock in with their own PIN, enter the amount — or accept a charge pushed from your POS register — the guest adds a tip if they like and taps to pay. Every payment lands in your Restora reports with a name on it.
In plain words
A calm card machine that knows who was on shift
The Terminal turns an Android device into a dedicated payment point for your counter. It does one thing: take payments. A staff member clocks in with their personal code, taps “Take a payment”, types the amount on a big keypad — or accepts a charge your POS register has pushed straight to the screen — and the guest adds an optional tip and taps their card or phone. Approved, receipt offered, next guest. There’s no menu to scroll and nothing to configure mid-service.
Because every payment is taken on a clocked-in shift, your reports don’t just say how much came in — they say who took it. Those same clock-ins also feed the Swedish personalliggare (the statutory staff register), which can be shown right on the terminal if Skatteverket pays a visit.
Who it's for
Built for the people who actually use it
Quick-service counters
Cafés, burger bars and takeaway windows that want one fixed, dependable payment point by the register — not a loose card machine nobody accounts for.
Teams that share a counter
Every payment is taken on a personal clock-in, so at close you can see exactly who took what — no guessing which of tonight’s staff rang a payment through.
Owners who want a tidy counter
On a company-owned device enrolled as a dedicated terminal, the app is hardware-pinned to one screen — no home screen, no notifications, no settings.
How it works
Up and running in three simple steps
Pair it and clock in
Pair the Android device with your restaurant from the dashboard — scan a QR code or type a short code. Each staff member then clocks in with their own 4-digit PIN, and from that moment every payment carries their name.
Enter the amount, tip, tap
Tap “Take a payment” and type the amount on the keypad, or accept a charge your POS register pushes straight to the terminal’s screen. The guest picks an optional tip and taps their card or phone to pay.
It lands in your reports
Every approved payment syncs to your Restora reports — amount, tip and the shift that took it, all in one place. Charges pushed from a register report their result straight back to it.
What's inside
Everything Terminal gives you
Clock in with a PIN
Staff start a shift with their personal 4-digit code, so you always know who took which payment and who was on the counter. Clock-ins also feed the Swedish personalliggare staff register, viewable on the terminal itself.
Tap-to-pay with tipping built in
The guest sees the amount, picks a preset tip or types their own — or taps “No tip” — and pays with a contactless tap. Live card processing switches on when your Restora payment account goes live.
Takes charges from your POS register
Link a register on your Wi-Fi and its charges take over the terminal screen — impossible to miss. Staff take or decline the charge, and the result reports straight back to the register.
Pinned to one job on dedicated devices
On a company-owned device enrolled as a dedicated terminal, the app is hardware-pinned: no home screen, no notifications, no settings. The counter screen stays a payment terminal, all shift.
Honest dual-boot
A switch control returns the device to the boot picker at any time. On a staff member’s own phone, Restora mode is a sealed full-screen mode they leave the same way — their phone stays theirs.
Every payment in your reports
Each transaction syncs to Restora with its amount, tip and shift attached, and the Reports tab shows recent payments on the device. If the connection blips, payments are kept safely on the terminal and sync the moment you’re back online.
Terminal shares the same core as everything else on Restora 360 — the menu, prices and orders you see here are the same ones your team sees everywhere.
Why it pays off
A tidy counter and a clean ledger
The terminal takes payments — nothing else runs on the screen while it’s in Restora mode.
Of payments carry a name — every transaction is tied to the staff shift that took it.
Free trial on every plan — no card needed to start, and the Terminal is included in Basic.
What does Terminal cost?
The Terminal is included in the Basic plan at 299 kr/month (billed yearly), alongside the POS and staff clock-in — the app itself goes on an Android device you already own, so there’s no hardware to buy to begin. Prefer no monthly fee? Pay As You Go is 0 kr/month with 7% per transaction. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial — no card to begin.
Questions & answers
Frequently asked questions
What is the Terminal?
It’s a payment terminal for your counter that runs on an Android device. Staff clock in with a personal PIN, enter the amount — or accept a charge pushed from your POS register — the guest adds an optional tip and taps to pay, and the payment syncs to your Restora reports. It takes payments only; orders and the menu live in the POS.
Does it take orders too?
No — and that’s deliberate. The Terminal is a payment point: an amount, an optional tip, a tap. Order-taking lives in POS & Waiter, and the two pair up — your register pushes a charge to the terminal, the terminal takes the payment, and the result reports straight back to the register.
How do staff sign in?
Each person clocks in with their own 4-digit code before taking payments, so every transaction is tied to who was on shift. The same clock-ins feed the Swedish personalliggare — the statutory staff register — which can be shown right on the terminal during an inspection.
Which payment methods can it take?
It’s built for contactless tap-to-pay: the guest taps a card or phone, with tipping built into the flow. Live card processing switches on when your restaurant’s Restora payment account goes live — until then, payments run in a clearly marked test mode so your team can rehearse the whole flow.
Can guests leave a tip?
Yes. Once the amount is set, the guest picks a preset tip, types their own figure, or taps “No tip” — the total updates in front of them before they tap to pay, and tips are recorded separately in your reports.
Can staff use it for anything else, like browsing?
On a company-owned device enrolled as a dedicated terminal, no — the app is hardware-pinned, with no home screen, no notifications and no settings. On a staff member’s own phone, Restora mode is a sealed full-screen mode; they leave it via the boot picker, and their phone stays a normal phone the rest of the time.
What does “dual-boot” mean here?
The device has two faces: Restora mode — the sealed payment terminal — and the normal device underneath. A switch control returns the device to the boot picker at any time, so a personal phone is never trapped, while a dedicated counter device stays pinned to the terminal whenever it’s in Restora mode.
What devices does it run on?
Android only — a spare Android phone or tablet you already own is enough. You pair it with your restaurant from the dashboard using a QR code or a short code shown on the device, and it then appears in your device list with its online status and battery.
